What’s up guys, Braden here with SuperATV. Today I’m going to be showing you how to install SuperATV’s full windshield on this Can-Am Maverick X3. This windshield is going to fit the two-seaters as well as the four-seaters. Let’s go ahead and get started!
Remove the lower and upper portions of the windshield from the box. Confirm that it fits your machine. Remove the protective film from both sides of the windshield to ensure clarity and protection during installation.
Take the lower portion of the windshield and align it with the upper portion. Note that the outside of the windshield should have the bend facing up. Attach the provided bracket to couple the upper and lower portions together. Use the hardware included in the kit to secure the bracket in place. Tighten all the hardware after everything is properly aligned.
Apply the seal to the center of the bracket. This seal will slightly cover the holes, but you can notch it with a screwdriver to allow the hardware to pass through. Attach the bracket to the lower windshield using the provided hardware, ensuring the sealing washer makes contact with the windshield.
Align the upper portion of the windshield, ensuring the bend faces upward. Use the same hardware to attach the upper portion to the lower portion. Tighten all the hardware once it is properly aligned.
Install the bulb seal along the edges of the windshield, ensuring the bulb faces inward. Use an air hammer to speed up the process without damaging the windshield or seal. Cut the bulb seal to ensure a proper fit.
If you have a roof installed, remove the hardware and slide it back off the front tube of the cage. Install foam in the pocket of the windshield area for better sealing. One or two layers of foam can be used for an optimal seal.
Place the windshield on the machine and secure it using the provided straps and clamps. Feed the straps through the windshield and clamps, ensuring they are properly tightened. For the upper portion, give it a tap to ensure it seats properly and makes it easier to wrap the strap around the cage tube.
Remove the protective film from both sides of the windshield. Reinstall the roof if you had one. That’s all there is to it to install SuperATV’s full windshield on this Can-Am Maverick X3.
