Braden from SuperATV kicks off the video by introducing the CV Axle Puller. This universal tool is designed to help remove stuck or broken axles from differentials or transmissions on a wide range of UTVs and ATVs. Whether you’re dealing with a seized axle or one that has already pulled apart, this tool provides an effective solution.
Braden explains common scenarios where this tool comes in handy—like when an axle won’t come out cleanly or if it’s broken inside the differential. The puller can be used on front and rear axles, making it a versatile tool for most off-road machines.
If the axle is already pulled apart and you’re not planning to rebuild it, you can cut the boot and move the shaft out of the way. However, if you intend to rebuild the axle, avoid cutting it. Instead, proceed by using the puller tool as-is.
Start by sliding the CV Axle Puller tool into position. Ensure all screws are removed before beginning installation. You’ll only need to use four screws from the provided kit. Ideally, they should be positioned in a cross pattern for optimal grip, but the exact orientation isn’t critical.
Insert four screws evenly spaced into the puller and begin tightening them. For best results, alternate sides to evenly distribute pressure. It’s important to tighten each screw as much as possible to prevent the tool from slipping during use.
Once the puller is fully secured, slide the weighted section forward, grip the handle firmly, and pull the tool backward in a single, strong motion. This action will dislodge the axle from the differential or transmission.
Braden wraps up the demonstration by emphasizing the tool’s universal fit across multiple makes and models. For more off-road tools and accessories, visit SuperATV.com. Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more how-to videos and product demos from SuperATV.
