You’re out in nature, taking on some of the roughest and toughest terrain around—who needs turn signals? You do, that’s who. Turn signals are great for improving the visibility of your machine, allowing other drivers to always know where you are. They are also great for communicating where you’re headed, especially if you or your buddies don’t have a headset or things get too loud to hear each other clearly.
If you live in a state where UTVs or ATVs are street legal and you’re going to be riding on the road, turn signals are a must-have. Pretty much every state requires turn signals if they’re going to be on the road (NOTE: turn signals don’t automatically allow you to ride on the road—check your local laws for complete street legal requirements). The reality is, even if you’re going to be riding around anyone else, whether out on the trails or on the road, it’s never a bad idea to have turn signals.
When choosing the right turn signal kit, there are a few things you want included. First, the LED indicators should be easy to see when activated, even during the day. The kit should also come with wiring harnesses that are either universal or designed to fit your machine (more on that in a bit). Ensure that you can actually use the turn signals after installation by picking a kit that includes rocker switches or purchasing some separately.
There are additional considerations to keep in mind when choosing the right turn signal kit. Do a bit of research to establish the ease of installation, overall durability, and how well the turn signals handle tough rides and the elements.
If you have a less common ATV or UTV or just don’t want to worry about finding the exact right fit, a universal turn signal kit is your best choice. Universal kits are compact, weather-resistant, and come with pretty much everything you need to get turn signals on your machine, including:
Some kits, like SuperATV’s universal turn signal kit, feature a pre-assembled wiring harness that is color-coded for easier installation. Ours even comes with a horn for extra safety if you ride on the road!
Since universal kits are designed to be used by all brands and models of ATVs and UTVs, be aware that you may need to do some wire trimming or other small modifications in order for it to fit your rig. These changes are usually minor and should be easy enough to handle for anyone following the directions, but if you want a more purpose-built experience, go for a model-specific option.
If you’re looking for an exact fit right out of the box, a model-specific turn signal kit is the way to go. These kits are generally faster to install, with seamless fit, custom switches, and even pre-measured wiring. Model-specific kits are truly plug-and-play—assuming you get the right match for your make and model. The good news is that SuperATV has turn signal kits that are designed for most popular ATVs and UTVs, such as:

Which is the best turn signal kit for your UTV or ATV—model-specific or universal? The answer really depends on what you’re looking for from your kit, your budget, and how much alteration you want to do during installation.
Universal kits cost less money and are more versatile across older and less common types of machines. You can even transfer them over to a new rig if you wanted to. However, you may need to make alterations to wires for proper installation.
Model-specific kits, on the other hand, are a bit pricier, but the fitment should be perfect and installation will be quicker, making them the more convenient option for many riders.
Whether you’re hitting the trails or they are part of the process of making your rig street legal, adding turn signals to your machine is one of the best and easiest ways to enhance visibility and communication. You’ll also be improving your own safety and the safety of everyone else you ride with or around. And whether you are looking for a universal or model-specific kit, SuperATV has a high-quality, dependable inventory for you to choose from—including some top-of-the-line self-canceling turn signal kits.

I have a 2022 Segway Fugleman X. It has the turn signal control arm installed but no turn signals. Do you have a kit that will integrate with the factory turn signal control arm on my Segway
How do you set the number of flashes? It says above:
BlinkTek “and they turn off on their own based upon the number of flashes you have it set to.”
Thanks.
