Don’t forget your sunscreen—we’re headed to the Sunshine State! Lots of people flock toward Florida every year for the beach resorts, amusement parks, and golf courses galore. But hitting the best ATV and UTV trails in Florida will make for a magical time.

You can get dirty in the mud bogs and swamps or relish in the beautiful scenery with the sand and trees. Plus, you might see an alligator if you’re lucky. It’s a state worth the vacation time.

Now, let’s check out 12 of the best UTV and ATV trails in Florida!

NOTE: Park details and prices reflect what was current as of July 2026.

1. Apalachicola National Forest

  • Location: Tallahassee, FL
  • Size: 100+ miles of motorized trail total; about 55–56 miles are ATV/UTV-accessible
  • Style: Sand, trees, pine forest
  • Machines: ATVs, UTVs, dirt bikes, motorcycles; check trail width before you ride
  • Experience Level: Beginner–Intermediate
  • Cost: $10 3-day pass, $25 7-day pass, or $75 annual pass

Apalachicola National Forest gives you Florida sand without the beach towel. The Silver Lake side is the main ATV and UTV entry point, and it winds through pine forest, sandhills, and enough soft terrain to keep your tires working.

That sand can sneak up on you, so come ready. A SuperATV roof keeps the sun off your head, a half windshield helps cut dust, and a good set of all-terrain tires, like our Intimidator Tires, will help you stay on top of loose sand instead of digging into it.

2. Big Cypress National Preserve

  • Location: Ochopee, FL
  • Size: 700,000+ acres
  • Style: Swamp, trees, water crossings
  • Machines: ATVs, UTVs, swamp buggies, street-legal 4x4s, airboats
  • Experience Level: Intermediate
  • Cost: $100 annual ORV permit

Big Cypress is not your average trail ride. This is South Florida swamp country, with cypress trees, wet trails, wildlife, and the kind of scenery you only get when you leave the pavement way behind.

Water is all over here, so your build should be ready for it. A snorkel kit, Black Ops Winch, mud tires (like our Terminator Tires), and a skid plate are easy recommendations. Big Cypress is exactly the kind of place where getting stuck is a pain if you didn’t bring the right recovery gear.

3. Clear Creek Riding Area

  • Location: Milton, FL
  • Size: 53 miles of trails
  • Style: Dirt, trees, sand, small jumps
  • Machines: ATVs, UTVs, dirt bikes, motorcycles; nothing wider than 65”
  • Experience Level: Intermediate
  • Cost: $15 day-use pass or $80 annual pass

Clear Creek Riding Area packs a lot into a Panhandle trail system. You get twisty wooded trails, light elevation changes, sand, and a motocross-style area that gives riders a little more to play with than a basic cruise through the trees.

This is a good place for protection and control upgrades. SuperATV skid plates help protect your underside from stumps and trail debris, while high-clearance A-arms give you more room to roll over uneven ground without dragging your suspension through everything.

4. Florida Cracker Ranch

  • Location: Bunnell, FL
  • Size: 1,000 acres
  • Style: Trees, mud, obstacles, moguls
  • Machines: ATVs, UTVs, dirt bikes, motorcycles, 4x4s, mud trucks, swamp buggies
  • Experience Level: Intermediate
  • Cost: Membership-based; current posted pricing starts at $800 for a single membership

Florida Cracker Ranch is a private, membership-based riding spot with a little bit of everything. You get ATV areas, mud, trails, 4×4 sections, camping, and enough room to make a full weekend out of it.

Mud tires like our Assassinator Tires really shine here. Also add a Black Ops Winch and a Depth Finder™ snorkel kit to make the most of the mud. This is the kind of park where “stock is fine” can turn into “stock was fine” pretty fast.

5. Hog Waller Mud Bog and Park

  • Location: Palatka, FL
  • Size: 50 miles of trails
  • Style: Mud, trees, water crossings, sand
  • Machines: ATVs, UTVs, 4x4s, trucks
  • Experience Level: Beginner–Intermediate
  • Cost: $25 per person per day

Hog Waller is part trail ride, part mud party, and part “let’s see how far we can make it before the winch comes out.” It has trails, water crossings, sand, and a big mud scene that makes it one of Florida’s better-known off-road parks.

Bring mud tires, a snorkel kit, and a winch. A SuperATV roof is a good call too, especially when you’re bouncing between sun, mud, and whatever your buddy just threw off his rear tires.

6. Mallory Swamp Trail

  • Location: Near Mayo, FL
  • Size: 35 miles of trails
  • Style: Dirt, trees, swamp forest
  • Machines: ATVs, UTVs, off-road motorcycles; seasonal rules apply
  • Experience Level: Beginner
  • Cost: Free

Mallory Swamp is a better fit for a relaxed ride than a full-send mud park. The trails are mostly flat and wooded, and the seasonal access makes it feel a little more like a hidden local ride than a big commercial park.

This is a good place for comfort upgrades. A roof and windshield help with sun, bugs, and rooster tails, while a rear windshield can keep dust from getting sucked back into the cab. Add storage or a cargo rack if you’re packing water, tools, snacks, and gear for the day.

7. Ocala National Forest

  • Location: Fort McCoy, FL
  • Size: 125 miles in the Ocala North OHV Trail System; Ocala Centennial is a separate 47-mile loop
  • Style: Sand, trees, scrub forest
  • Machines: ATVs, UTVs, dirt bikes, motorcycles, and licensed vehicles on mixed-use routes; width limits vary by trail
  • Experience Level: Intermediate
  • Cost: $10 3-day pass, $25 7-day pass, or $75 annual pass

Ocala National Forest is one of Florida’s classic off-road destinations. You get sandy trails, scrub forest, pine trees, and enough route options to build the kind of ride you want, whether that’s a shorter loop or a longer day in the woods.

The sand and shared-use routes make all-terrain tires a smart upgrade. A roof, windshield, and side mirrors also make the ride more comfortable and easier to manage when the trail gets dusty or traffic picks up.

8. Plant Bamboo Mud Park

  • Location: Okeechobee, FL
  • Size: 600 acres
  • Style: Mud, trail riding, camping
  • Machines: ATVs, UTVs, 4x4s, trucks
  • Experience Level: Beginner–Intermediate
  • Cost: $50/person on Fridays and Saturdays; $30/person Sunday through Thursday (special event pricing varies)

Plant Bamboo Mud Park is an old Florida cattle ranch turned off-road playground. It’s open year-round and gives you mud, camping, trail riding, and plenty of room to make a weekend out of it.

This is another park where mud prep matters. A SuperATV snorkel kit, winch, and mud tires should be high on the list. Add a roof and windshield if you want to stay a little more comfortable while everyone else is flinging Okeechobee mud into the air.

9. RYC Mud Park / Redneck Mud Park

  • Location: Punta Gorda, FL
  • Size: 800+ acres
  • Style: Mud, trees, water crossings, event riding
  • Machines: ATVs, UTVs, 4x4s, Jeeps, trucks, swamp buggies
  • Experience Level: Beginner–Intermediate
  • Cost: Varies by weekend and event

RYC Mud Park, also known as Redneck Mud Park, is built for big weekends. You get mud holes, trails, ponds, camping, events, and the kind of off-road crowd that shows up ready to make noise. Some events are not as kid-friendly as others, so make sure you check before you go.

Mud tires, GDP portals, Rhino 2.0 Axles, and a Black Ops Winch all make sense here. This is a great place to build for ground clearance, traction, and strength because deep mud has a way of finding the weakest part of your machine.

10. Tate’s Hell State Forest

  • Location: Carrabelle, FL
  • Size: 150+ miles of trails
  • Style: Dirt, sand, trees
  • Machines: ATVs, UTVs, dirt bikes, motorcycles; nothing wider than 64”
  • Experience Level: Beginner–Intermediate
  • Cost: $15 OHV pass or $80 annual pass

Tate’s Hell sounds like a place that should be full of boulders and broken axles, but it’s really a huge North Florida forest ride with long routes, sand, trees, and plenty of room to explore.

This is a good trail for comfort and protection. A roof and windshield help with sun and trail spray, while skid plates and all-terrain tires are smart upgrades for long days on sandy forest routes.

11. Bone Valley ATV Park

  • Location: Mulberry, FL
  • Size: 500 acres
  • Style: Hill climbs, rocky terrain, dirt trails, free riding areas
  • Machines: ATVs, UTVs, off-road motorcycles, dirt bikes
  • Experience Level: Beginner–Advanced
  • Cost: $15 per adult, $5 ages 7–15, free for ages 6 and under

Bone Valley ATV Park sits on reclaimed phosphate-mine land and gives you 15 trails, hill climbs, rocky terrain, free riding areas, and a moto-coaster-style trail on the north side.

This is a great place for suspension and protection upgrades. SuperATV high-clearance A-arms, skid plates, a front bumper, and all-terrain tires will help your machine handle rocky sections, climbs, and rougher play areas without feeling inadequate.

12. St. Mary’s Shoals Park

  • Location: Glen St. Mary, FL
  • Size: 2,568 acres; 25+ miles of maintained trails
  • Style: Woods, dirt, river scenery, sandy areas
  • Machines: ATVs, UTVs; check current rules for motorcycle access
  • Experience Level: Beginner
  • Cost: $5 per vehicle/trailer and $5 per OHV

St. Mary’s Shoals Park is a strong family-friendly trail pick in Northeast Florida. The park has a dedicated OHV side, wooded trails, and access near the St. Mary’s River, so it gives you a more scenic ride than a straight mud park would.

A SuperATV roof and flip windshield are easy wins here. You’ll get shade, airflow when you want it, and protection when the trail gets dusty. Add skid plates and trail tires if you want a little more confidence on roots, ruts, and sandy patches.

Florida trails are all about prepping for sand and mud. That’s why our recommended upgrades are almost always all-terrain tires, and cab comfort gear like roofs and windshields. Keep yourself moving forward and keep your passengers comfortable to make sure your family remembers every awesome trail, not getting stuck on every trail.

Apalachicola National Forest is the closest to Miramar. It’s about 2 hours away!
