I have a 2001 4×ranger utv that has 3or4 black boxes that are called voltage/ rectifier. But no information I have found shows that many on the machine. I smoked the one that controlled the fuel pump but I could still run it after I hot wired the pump

2003 ranger 500 2×4 . Regulator melted. Stator output 24vac from yellow to yellow, new regulator getting too hot to touch. Charging at battery is 14.2 with new regulator. Why is regulator so hot.?why did original melt?

How can you test the pressure of your fuel pump? I have a 2002 2X4 Ranger. The fuel pump will pump intermittently. Which module is responsible for the fuel pump? When I try to start the fuel pump will engage when I disengage the starter but the key is in the on position. when I disconnect the fuel line from the carb it will pump fuel out. But when I remove the carb the bowl is dry. I have checked and rechecked my float and needle valve numerous times and they appear to be in working order. Any help would be appreciated.

To test your fuel pump, you hook a fuel-pressure gauge to the fuel line and turn the key to ON—your pump should make steady pressure, not come and go. On a 2002 Ranger the pump is controlled by the PCM, the fuel-pump relay, and the inertia switch—there’s no separate fuel-pump module.
Your symptoms (pump only running sometimes, carb bowl staying dry) usually mean a bad fuel-pump relay, a weak pump, a bad ground, or the ignition switch not giving the pump steady power.
Start by replacing the fuel-pump relay, checking the inertia switch, and testing for steady power at the pump when the key is ON.
I have a 2020 500 Polaris Ranger. It has a very bad raddling noise when you let off the gas or going down an incline. No noise going up hill or speeding up. Has 50 hrs. on it.

I have a 2015 Ranger crew 900 epi when I try to accelerate passed 4ooo rpm it won’t do more than that and only runs around 15 mph . But will will rev up to 7000 in neutral . I’ve replaced the fuel pump to no avail ,could this be a clutch or belt problem or both .

I have a 2017 XP 1000 Polaris Ranger special edition camo machine, that is having an overheating problem, when I start it and watch the temp it goes to around 200 the fan comes on but the temp keeps going up, I usually turn it off about 210 I think maybe the thermostat or the thermistor sensor I will check the radiator and put new coolant in it anything else?

Madison, I also have a 570 Polaris Ranger full size which is overheating as the above issue you addressed to Michael Dixon! I have addressed the following already with no fix.
1) elevated front end & added a little anti-freeze to remove any air. 2) I have felt the hoses with unit above 200 F & they don’t get hot or feel like anti-freeze is pumping. 3) so I removed the water pump impeller cover & impeller looks in good shape. 4) next I plan to wash out the radiator fins but don’t believe there dirty. What else would keep the pump from pumping? A fuse, an electrical issue, what? Thanks in advance for any feedback!

do the weel shafts on all 4 stay engagued while not in all wheel drive??

On a Polaris Ranger, the rear wheel shafts are always engaged because that’s what actually powers the machine. In 2WD, the front wheels basically just roll along and aren’t really pulling. When you flip it into AWD, the front end locks in and then all four wheels start working together.
I have a 2002 polaris ranger 4×4 it shredded the belt I replaced the belt and the clutches and it wont start now unless I shift gears while trying the key I replaced the brake pressure switch still didn’t help what is your recommendation to try next.

I have a 2010 Polaris ranger 800xp changed my fuel pump and injectors after about 20 minutes of riding it’s like it has no power and I keep seeing belt dust and pieces of my belt come out my snorkel put a new belt on and that belt broke after about total of 3-4 hours put another belt but still doing the same thing
